ILLUSTRATIONS AND PAINTINGS IN LINE AND WATERCOLOUR

Welcome to my website. Here you will find examples of my hand-drawn and hand-painted illustrations in line and watercolour.

I produce illustrated maps for magazine and book publishers but undertake other commissions ranging from for example, a cutaway drawing of Captain Cook's ship 'Endeavour' (for The National Maritime Museum), to  views of buildings and historic sites for use on information boards.

I also have an especial interest in historical reconstruction illustrations for exhibition interpretive panels and publishing. Recent work I have untertaken has  been for:

  •  'Canterbury: England's Crucible' an exhibition tracing the early history of Canterbury from St Augustine to the Tudors  (2010)
  •  'The Staffordshire Hoard on Tour' a travelling exhibition of items from the Anglo-Saxon buried treasure hoard which visited Stafford Shire Gallery, Lichfield Cathedral and Tamworth Castle (2011)

Some of my work is available as one-off paintings and sold at galleries and exhibitions. Subjects include wildlife,                    architecture and landscape.
